Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood.
How did you hear about the Fraser Foundation?
A course I completed while employed with a former employer.
How does it feel to receive a Fraser Foundation scholarship?
That is brilliant. I have had to put placements on hold in the past because I could not afford to take time off work, so this support is very much appreciated.
What inspired you to become an early childhood teacher?
I know that every child in our care is someone’s whole world, so it is our responsibility to ensure their safety and well being at all times. Supporting children t learn through play while experiencing joyful and enriching days is one of the most rewarding aspects and has inspired me to become an early childhood teacher.
What are the best and most challenging parts of working with young children?
The best part is knowing that we are laying the foundation for lifelong social, emotional, and learning skills. The most challenging aspect is when children are unable to communicate where they are struggling, which is why it is so important to maintain open lines of communication with families.
