Help train Australia’s next early childhood teachers

Australia doesn’t have enough qualified early childhood teachers — Jobs and Skills Australia estimates the country needs around 21,000 more of them — and the shortage bites hardest in the communities that can least afford it. The Fraser Foundation exists to help fix that, one educator at a time. We remove the financial barriers that stop passionate people from getting the qualifications to teach our youngest kids. When you give, you’re not funding overheads; you’re helping a real person finish their degree and walk into a classroom.

Since 2021, the Foundation has invested $860,000 in future early childhood teachers. That’s helped fund more than 50 ECT scholarship recipients through their Bachelor or Graduate Diploma studies, supported around 180 educators through our Diploma Supported Program with CAECE, and delivered a free national webinar series that has drawn roughly 23,900 registrations across ten sessions. Every one of those numbers is a person who’s better equipped to care for and teach young children.

What your donation funds

We keep it simple: your gift goes to the programs that put more qualified educators in front of children. Depending on what’s needed most, that means

  • ECT scholarships — helping aspiring early childhood teachers cover the cost of a Bachelor or Graduate Diploma so they can qualify and stay in the sector.

  • The Diploma Supported Program — our partnership with CAECE that helps educators gain a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.

  • Free professional development — our webinar series, which is free for every educator in the country.

  • The Research Impact Grant — backing research that makes a practical difference in early learning.

  • The Gundoo Project — supporting First Nations participation in early childhood education

We don’t do “$50 buys X” style promises, because scholarship costs vary and we’d rather be straight with you: every dollar is pooled and directed to where it will help the most educators qualify.

Ways to give

Make a one-off or regular donation. Use the donation form on this page. You can give once or set up a monthly gift, and you can tick the box to cover the transaction fee so 100% of your intended gift reaches our programs.

Sponsor a scholarship. If you or your organisation want to make a bigger commitment, you can sponsor ECT scholarships. Scholarship sponsorship starts at a minimum of $25,000 per year, billed annually, with the Foundation allocating the funds to recipients. Because these degrees take up to three years, we split funding across that period — so a $25,000-a-year commitment typically supports two to three scholarship recipients at any one time. Give through your workplace. Workplace giving lets your staff donate straight from their pre-tax pay, and many employers match it. If you’d like to set this up, get in touch and we’ll help.

Come to the luncheon. Our Annual Charity Luncheon on the Gold Coast is our biggest fundraiser of the year and a genuinely good day out. Buying a seat or a table is a direct way to support the cause.

The Fraser Foundation (registered as Fraser Education Foundation, ABN 69 950 924 583) is a registered Australian charity and a Type 1 deductible gift recipient (DGR). That means gifts of $2 or more are tax deductible, and we’ll issue a receipt for every donation.

Is my donation tax deductible?

We’re a registered charity — listed on the ACNC Charity Register under our legal name, Fraser Education Foundation — governed by a volunteer board of respected early childhood professionals and community leaders. We measure success by how many qualified teachers we help into classrooms, not by profit. We’re proud to work with partners including Child Care Super, who back the whole Foundation.

We’re incredibly grateful for the support we received at the 2025 Fraser Foundation Charity Luncheon, held at the beautiful Garden Kitchen & Bar on 12 September 2025. The luncheon was a wonderful celebration of our early childhood education community, bringing together supporters, educators, sponsors and advocates to recognise the impact of the Fraser Foundation and help raise funds for the next generation of scholarships.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, purchased raffle tickets, donated, participated in our auctions and shared our mission. With more than 250 guests in attendance, the event was officially sold out, highlighting the incredible generosity and commitment of our community.

Together, we raised over $200,000, with every dollar going towards scholarships and professional development for aspiring and early childhood teachers across Australia. This generosity will help dedicated educators further their studies, overcome financial barriers and continue making a lasting impact on children, families and communities.

One of the highlights of the day was hearing the inspiring stories of scholarship recipients and seeing firsthand the difference that education, opportunity and community support can make. These stories are a powerful reminder of why the Fraser Foundation’s work is so important and why continued support is needed to help more educators achieve their goals.

The luncheon also featured a vibrant silent auction, raffles and live pledges, bringing our community together in support of early childhood education. Beyond the fundraising, the event provided a valuable opportunity for attendees to connect with fellow educators, early learning providers, sponsors and sector advocates, strengthening the network of support that helps uplift early childhood education across Australia.

The success of this year’s sold-out event is a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when our community comes together. Every contribution helps break down barriers for passionate educators and creates a ripple effect of learning, growth and opportunity throughout classrooms and communities nationwide.

We’re proud of what we achieved together in 2025 and deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to making the Fraser Foundation Charity Luncheon such a memorable and impactful day. With your continued support, we can help even more deserving educators pursue their studies and contribute to the future of early childhood education.

Our first annual charity luncheon held in October 2023 on the Gold Coast, raised more than $120,000, with every dollar raised going directly to the scholarships that will support early childhood educators further their studies to educate our next generation of leaders, teachers, scientists, explorers and world-changers.
