I am very thankful to the Fraser Foundation for this support. Balancing work, family and study is not always easy, so this scholarship means a lot to me and will help me continue working towards my dream of becoming a qualified Early Childhood Teacher.

I feel very grateful and proud to have received the Fraser Foundation Scholarship. Balancing work and study can be challenging, so this support means a lot to me. It will help with the costs of my degree and encourage me to keep working towards becoming an early childhood teacher. I’m thankful to everyone who made this opportunity possible.
My experience working with young children inspired me to become an early childhood teacher. Since starting in the early childhood sector in 2018, I’ve seen how important the early years are for children’s confidence, relationships, learning and sense of belonging. I want to create inclusive, caring learning experiences, build strong partnerships with families and help every child feel valued and capable. I also hope to keep supporting and sharing learning with other educators.
The best part is building relationships with children and seeing their confidence, interests and skills grow. I love noticing what captures their curiosity and supporting them to explore, play and learn in their own ways. One of the challenging parts is responding to each child’s different needs, especially when they are still learning to communicate or manage big feelings. I want every child to feel safe, included and understood, so this work calls for patience, reflection and close partnerships with families and other educators.
My 9 years experience working with children in early childhood setting opened my eyes to how much caring, knowledgeable and patient educators can make a difference in a child’s life. Through my work in early childhood education, I’ve also seen how important it is to nurture children’s confidence, sense of belonging and love of learning from an early age. This inspired me to become an early childhood teacher. I hope to help create inclusive environments where every child feels valued and supported in their learning journey. I believe this can make a positive difference for children, families and the wider Australian community.
