Learn more about Bridie

I am currently working towards my Undergraduate Certificate of Teaching (Primary) (UCTP), with the goal of continuing my studies by commencing the Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) (BEEd) at the University of Southern Queensland.

What are you studying, and where?

I heard about the Fraser Foundation through my workplace’s HR team. Receiving the scholarship would allow me to expand my knowledge and strengthen my practice, while also giving me the opportunity to share my experiences with others.

How did you hear about the Fraser Foundation?

Watching my mum work in the early childhood industry inspired me to follow in her footsteps. Seeing the positive impact she had on children made me realise how rewarding and meaningful the profession can be. The best part of my job is watching children grow and learn, and being part of their journey is truly heartwarming.

What inspired you to become an early childhood teacher?

What are the best and most challenging parts of working with young children?

One of the most challenging parts of working with young children is meeting the different needs, personalities and emotions of each child. While this can be challenging, I find it rewarding to discover ways to support each child and help them feel safe, valued and understood.
