‘‘I feel incredibly honoured to be given the opportunity to pursue this career with the support of a full scholarship. It’s not only a financial relief, but also a reminder that my passion and commitment to early childhood education is seen and valued. I’m excited to keep learning, growing, and eventually giving back by making a meaningful difference in children’s lives and in the community.’’

How did you hear about the Fraser Foundation?

I seen a few advertisements on Facebook and also a friend of mine received a scholarship, so I asked her what the process was and applied.

How did you hear about the Fraser Foundation?

Being approved for a full scholarship to complete my Bachelor of Education made me feel incredibly grateful and proud. It felt like a recognition of the passion and dedication I’ve had for working in the early childhood sector.

What inspired you to pursue a career as an Early Childhood Teacher?

What truly inspired me to pursue this path is the profound impact early educators can have on a child's life. I’ve always believed that the early years are the foundation for lifelong learning, and I’m passionate about creating safe, nurturing, and stimulating environments where children feel seen, heard, and valued.

What is the best and most challenging parts of working with young children?

One of the best parts of working with young children is witnessing their wonder and excitement as they learn and discover the world around them. Their curiosity is contagious, and every day brings something new—whether it's a small milestone or a big achievement. Building trusting relationships with children and being part of their early development is a privilege I don’t take for granted. I also love to support families in their child’s development and providing a safe space for all.

At the same time, one of the biggest challenges is meeting the diverse needs of every child. Each child comes with their own background, temperament, and learning style, and it takes patience, adaptability, and reflection to support them in the best way possible. It can also be emotionally demanding at times, but the rewards far outweigh the challenges.
